New coach, new ambitions, new positive energy, new win for Inter!
Fantastic performance from Inter players on the debut of the new coach Andrea Stramaccioni, as they won 5-4 in the thrilling match against Genoa on Guiseppe Meaca. Right from the start of the game, Inter took the initiative and started creating chances, In 7th minute fantastic dribbling fro Forlan on the left side and low inclose cross, but there were no Inter players to put the ball in the net. Another fantastic cross from Forlan from the left side resulted with excellent Milito's header and the result was open, Inter took the lead. Few minutes after that chance for Cambiasso with a header on an assist by Samuel but he failed to convert it. In the 27th minute excellent long lob pass from Stankovic which resulted one on one chance for Milito and that was quite easy for "The Prince". Inter- Genoa 2-0 and big celebrations on the stadium. In 38th minute another goal from Inter, corner on the left side, few Inter and Genoa players missed the header and the ball goes to Lucio on the right side in Genoa's penalty area. Lucio send it with a low cross and another goal, this time by Samuel with a sliding tackle. Inter domination continued. In the 2nd minute of the stoppage time of the first half, corner for Genoa which resulted with a quite lucky goal and that was it, first half Inter- Genoa 3:1. In the second real excitement and very weird half. Right from the beginning of the second half, Genoa took the initiative and tried to get positive result. Genoa's initiative resulted with a penalty in 59th minute after unlucky playing with hand by the captain Javier Zanetti. Palacio converted the penalty and 2/3 from the match 3:2 for Inter. But Inter once again took 2 goals lead as Zarate scored excellent goal form the left side of the penalty area on an assist form Andrea Poli in 74th minute of the game. Everyone felt revealed but Palacio and Genoa were in Milano for at least on point. After one excellent pass to Palacio and huge mistake by Inter's defence, Palacio found himself in one-on-one situation and Julio Cesar was forced to make penalty and get red card.
The penalty converted Gilardino, but Casstelazzi was very close to catching it. After that Inter tried to defend the result but still they were able to make another great action 5 minutes after the goal they conceded. Guarin found himself in a scoring position but he was fouled by Belluschi. Red card for Genoa's defender and penalty for Inter. Milito converted the penalty and completed his hat trick. Inter once again had 2 goals lead. But Genoa didn't quit at any momnet of the game, in 90th minute cross from the right side, foul by Lucio against Sculli and new penalty for Genoa. Gilardino once again scored from the penalty spot, but that was it, Inter finally won 5:4 in a thrilling and heartbreaking game. Kinda strange second half four penalty's and two red card's but at the end of the day, like every Inter fan, I'm glad it's over and that Inter won it. Faith in Inter and catching that 3rd place restored! Forza INTER!!!
a new coach is always very nice
ReplyDeleteNew coach never lose!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I always wonder when a team gets a new coach like this.. I mean, it's the players that pay the game, not the coach. Almost seems like he's being made into the fall guy.. but I guess we'll see!
