Referee Rosario Abisso has been banned from refereeing for a month
The Italian Football Federation has suspended referee Rosario Abisso for controversial decision in the Serie A match 25 between Fiorentina and Inter.Abisso gave a penalty for Fiorentina in the 96th minute of the match, for allegedly Danilo D'Ambrosio playing with his hand in the penalty box.
After a five-minute break and review of the VAR footage, the decision wasn't changed, Fiorentina got their penalty, scored and avoided defeat.
The punishment for Abisso is three rounds. He will not be able to referee till March 24th. In addition, he will not be delegated to Inter's matches until the end of the season.
